"I went to Jerusalem to become acquainted (Gk. istoria) with Cephas" - Paul's words from Galatians 1:18.

Presidents, Vaccines, Mr. Edwards, and Confidence

I read today that President Barak Obama said he will be taking the new Coronavirus vaccine and allow national television to film and broadcast the vaccination "to build confidence in the US about vaccine safety." Former President George Bush later said he would join Barak Obama and do the same thing to encourage the American people.

I'm not against vaccines. I've historically taken the flu shot every year. All of my children have been vaccinated. But I do respect parents, families, and individuals who shy away from vaccinations for health reasons. I'm uninterested in changing their minds. That said, I respect our two former presidents' efforts "to build confidence" in vaccine safety.

I also know about the history of America. I know the LORD. And the LORD seems more interested in people placing their confidence in Him than in a vaccine. Using a Targum of Psalm 20:7 (be sure to look up the definition of a Targum), here's a message for America in 2020 from a verse for Israel in 1000 BC.

"Some trust in vaccines and some in doctors, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God."

By the way, just as soon as that statement of trust was made in Psalm 20:7, King David got on his "horse" and led "chariots" of soldiers (the two Hebrew words that I've Targumed as "vaccines" and "doctors") and went out to fight a battle. There's no argument in the Bible against using instruments like vaccines and doctors or horses and chariots. The Bible teaches that you're in trouble if you trust in those things rather than the LORD.

The LORD has used infectious disease to bring down a nation that did not trust in Him. He could do it again. The LORD's stated purpose is to "bring low the proud and raise up those who trust in Him," a theme established throughout the Hebrew Scriptures as well as in the New Testament.

Allow me to introduce President Obama and President Bush, as well as the rest of you, to the story of the death of Jonathan Edwards (1703-1755).

Edwards was the most well-known colonial American of his day. At age 54, he died with newspapers tracking and reporting on his experience in taking the newly invented smallpox vaccination "to build confidence" in the American people about vaccine safety. Jonathan Edwards trusted in the LORD. He was, from all accounts, a most humble man.

Unlike the 2020 RNA vaccination for Corona, the 1755 smallpox vaccination was primitive in nature. A pustule from a sick, infected victim of smallpox would be cut open. The pus would be squeezed out and mixed with a rubbing matter.

The infected matter would be carried by a doctor to a house where healthy people lived. The doctor would make small incisions between the thumbs and index fingers of those who had never been infected with smallpox. The rubbing matter would be placed over the open cuts and wrapped with cloths. If all went well, those vaccinated would endure a mild case of the pox and go on to live healthy lives without fear of catching the full-blown disease.

The American people in Edwards' were afraid of the new smallpox vaccination like many American people today are afraid of the new Coronavirus vaccination.

The 54-year-old newly elected President of Princeton University wasn't afraid. He trusted the LORD.

Jonathan Edwards was the closest thing to a celebrity that America had in 1758. Serving as a pastor before his appointment to Princeton, Edwards' preaching had become the spark that led America to a Great Awakening.

As a teenager, Jonathan Edwards had written 70 Resolutions for Life. Every New Year's Day,  Edwards personally renewed his pledge to live by his resolutions for life. The ninth one states:

"Resolved, to think much on all occasions of my own dying, and of the common circumstances which attend death."

For most Americans today, that resolution sounds morbid. That's because we've lost the art of dying well. Actually, if applied, this resolution #9 would help all of us die as well as Jonathan Edwards did in the prime of his life.

Dr. William Shippen, a Princeton doctor who would later serve as a delegate to the Continental Congress, administered the smallpox vaccination to President Jonathan Edwards. The newspapers reported the event, hoping to encourage other New Jersey citizens to get the treatment themselves.

Smallpox

At first, things went normal. Edwards came down with a mild case of the pox, and he appeared to be on the mend.

But then smallpox spread into his mouth and throat, making swallowing difficult.

Jonathan Edwards knew that he was dying.

He'd moved to Princeton only a few months earlier to serve as President of the school (then known as The College of New Jersey). His wife had not yet made it to Princeton. Jonathan Edwards had co-founded the school with his good friend Aaron Burr, Sr., whose sudden death by fever in the fall of 1757 had precipitated Edwards's appointment. Edwards' daughter, Esther Edwards, had married Mr. Burr, and their son Aaron Burr, Jr. would go on to become Vice-President of the United States. Most Americans only know of Jonathan Edward's grandson, Aaron Burr, Jr., for his killing of Alexander Hamilton in a famous duel, an event made even more memorable by the Broadway musical play Hamilton.

As Jonathan Edwards lay on his death bed, messengers sent for his wife. But Sarah Edwards would not make it to Princeton to see her husband before he died. When Jonathan Edwards realized his wife wouldn't make it, he called for Lucy, his daughter, who'd moved with him to Princeton. He said to her:

"Dear Lucy, it seems to me to be the will of God that I must shortly leave you; therefore give my kindest love to my dear wife, and tell her, that the uncommon union, which has so long subsisted between us, has been of such a nature, as I trust is spiritual, and therefore will continue forever: and I hope she will be supported under so great a trial, and submit cheerfully to the will of God. And as to my children, you are now like to be left fatherless, which I hope will be an inducement to you all to seek a Father, who will never fail you. And as to my funeral, I would have it be like Mr. Burr’s; and any additional sum of money that might be expected to be laid out that way, I would have it disposed of to charitable uses."

Jonathan Edward's had attended Mr. Burr's funeral the previous fall and was impressed with its simplicity and charity. There were no ornate decorations, nor an ornate casket or headstone, both customary in Edward's day.  Mr. Burr had instructed all the money that his family would save to go to charitable causes.

As the hour of his death approached, friends and Dr. William Shippen stood near President Edwards and discussed the significant loss of coming to the college, the American colonies, and the world at large through President Edwards' death. Nobody thought Jonathan Edwards could hear the conversation, but he raised his head up from his bed and spoke clearly to the group:

"Trust in God, and ye need not fear."

At 2:30 pm, the afternoon of March 22, 1758, Jonathan Edwards died of smallpox at 54. Dr. Shippen sent a letter to his widow:

"This afternoon, between two and three o’clock, it pleased God to let him sleep in that dear Lord Jesus, whose kingdom and interest he has been faithfully and painfully serving all his life. And never did any mortal man more fully and clearly evidence the sincerity of all his professions, by one continued, universal, calm, cheerful resignation, and patient submission to the divine will, through every stage of his disease, than he; not so much as one discontented expression, nor the least appearance of murmuring, through the whole."

Sarah Edwards would later write to her daughter these words of comfort and encouragement:

"My very dear Child, what shall I say? A holy and good God has covered us with a dark cloud! …The Lord has done it. He has made me adore His goodness that we had him so long. But my God lives: and He has my heart. Oh, what a legacy my husband and your father has left us! We are all given to God; and there I am, and love to be."

In our day, when families are panicked over the possible death of loved ones and when individuals are anxious and fearful over their own mortality, it's good for us to reflect on the past lives of God's faithful servants and the art of dying well.

It's also a reminder that people who trust in the LORD may die of Covid-19. People who trust in the LORD may die from vaccination. People who trust in the LORD will die, just like those who don't trust in the LORD.

But when you trust in the LORD, you don't fear your death

I wish President Obama and President Bush success, but if the LORD is bringing down a proud nation, the new Corona vaccinations may not turn out the way we desire.

I am not afraid of death. I am afraid of extended needless suffering before I die, or causing someone else to suffer likewise. May God’s grace allow us all to escape that. And part of God’s grace to us is a brain that he intended for us to use.

So having said that, will I be first in line for this vaccine? Probably not. Will I get one? Absolutely. Why would I not utilize the means available to prevent myself along with those I love from having to risk their life or well being unnecessarily?

I recently lost a friend and former employer to this awful disease. He was a very healthy man and had the same attitude as you – he did not think it was anything he needed to worry about. Now his family has to live without him. He too was a very strong believer, but at the end he was extremely concerned about what he may have done to others with his lack of precautions.

I also find it disturbing that you imply this may be God’s action to bring down a proud nation. You are treading a very dangerous thin line there and should be very cautious given God’s attitude toward those who prophesy without actually receiving inspiration from Him.

Ruth,

Have you read Isaiah? Moab, Assyria, Egypt, Syria (different than Assyria), Cush, and a host of other nations were brought low by the LORD because the people of those nations didn't trust in Him.

I'm only speaking the truth of what Scripture teaches about the LORD's involvement in individual nations.

He brings low the proud that He may exalt the humble who trust in Him.

What is our COLLECTIVE humane responsibility to those most vulnerable in our communities? I ask this as the mother of a child with multiple health 'co-morbidities' who resides at Eastern Christian Children's Retreat in Wyckoff NJ.

Two days ago, I faxed a permission slip from that facility for my son to be able to receive the vaccine as soon as possible. The Retreat is one of the facilities that will be 'first' to receive the vaccine as many of its residents are wheelchair-bound and stretcher-bound and have a profound need for nursing care 24/7.

There seems to be some kind of discussion that to engage collectively to prevent harm to even the most vulnerable may somehow interfere with an individual's right to do as they please, and I am very open to the discussion of the moral and ethical issues that are being examined by good people, yes. In the end, I am for 'saving even one human life' as THE value we find most prevalent in sacred Scripture. . . . that to save one life is to save the world entire, so to speak.

Maybe this helps a little towards what I mean:

"There is a piece of Jewish legend that shares the following story: People were on a ship. One of them took a drill and started drilling underneath himself. The others said to him: 'What in the world are you doing'?!
The drilling man replied: 'What do you care? Is this not underneath my area that I am drilling'?!
As we navigate the day-to-day of our busy lives, so often we can feel like we are lone sailors, like our choices impact us alone. Yet, just like the passengers on this boat, our actions deeply affect one another, especially right now."

Our Lord came to reconcile us to God AND to reconcile us to one another. If we look at the pandemic as a HUMANE concern, then we come to His questions of us in our interactions with others for 'the sake of the other';
and there we may find ourselves challenged when we have thought previously of our individual actions in response to 'am I my brother's keeper'?

There are many ways to look at these issues. We can search the sacred Scriptures and also find those verses which warn us not 'to tempt God'.

In the end, what is the WORTH of the life to God of the one whom I may protect from death because I took precautions that 'might have' saved him/her? What is the MEANING of the statement 'to save one life is to save the world entire'? And why is THIS beyond the understanding of so many Christians for whom 'personal' and 'individual' relation to God is so much a part of their theological traditions?

I think we need to act for the sake of 'the other' we may never know in this life; because the 'other' is dear to the God we trust. And God will remember us on the Day. For having an active care for 'the other' for the sake of the other, without need for self reward of any kind.

Wade: Yes, I have read Isaiah – many times. And I am very familiar with the stories you describe. I am not saying that God does not bring proud nations down; I am saying that you are treading dangerously close to equating our nation and the COVID vaccine to those circumstances when you are not actually a prophet who has been inspired by God – unless you are claiming that status.

In our nation, the proud seem to be those who feel they are above any personal restrictions or mandates to protect the helpless. This is not what God teaches us to do, and my personal opinion is that a Christian who seeks to follow Christ’s teachings would not act that way when it could very likely lead to disastrous consequences for others. This is equivalent to the story of Miriam in Exodus; God required her to isolate for 7 days before healing her. Others who suffered from the biblical version of leprosy (which is not the same thing as our current Hansen’s disease) were mandated to isolate themselves from society due to the danger of the disease. If a simple mask could have prevented transmission of it, I have no doubt that would have been required. God never proclaimed that this was sinful on the part of that society, so I hardly think He would consider it sinful to require equivalent restrictions today due to COVID. Yes, Jesus associated with lepers occasionally – but the only descriptions we have of that contact were related to Him healing them. I am sure that you are not saying that you can heal those who suffer from COVID so this would be a false equivalency.

Let us love our neighbors as ourselves, and do what is necessary to protect them. Personal opinion about the lack of validity for mandates should never cause us to inadvertently endanger others in the case we are wrong. Heaven knows, I am wrong often enough to realize that I am not perfect – and neither is anyone else.

I forgot to add that Eastern Christian Childrens' Retreat was founded and is overseen by members of the Dutch Reformed Church of northern NJ. So it is not 'beyond' the comprehension of those of the reformed faith that to care for 'the least of these' is also to honor Christ Himself.

I remember this summer, my son had to go to Valley Hospital for cardiac care and the doctors and nurses there shared with me how they considered the care-givers and staff from administration on down at Eastern Christian to be 'lovely people'. I have known that myself for a very long time.

Curious - have you put much time into researching the effects of electromagnetic radiation on the human mind and body?

You don't give alcoholics alcohol. You don't give drug addicts drugs. You don't enable. If I were convinced that masks truly worked to protect other people and/or myself and/or my family, I'd wear one. Because I'm not convinced, I refuse to wear a mask except around the vulnerable or the sick. I will not wear one around the healthy. If I did, in my mind, I'd be enabling people to believe a lie. In terms of "protecting the helpless," I'd love to introduce you to the women who's lives have been saved in the REFUGE at the WELL home for women we built this year, or the men whose lives have been saved in the OASIS ministry we run, or the homeless who have a warm bed to sleep in tonight because of the MERCY house and the kitchen we built to cook the vegetables and chicken we've taught those in the MERCY House to harvest. I understand protecting the helpless.

I refuse to enable the healthy.

Amen, Christianne. The pandemic is real. It is a humanitarian crisis. Trusting in masks, vaccines, or anything else from the LORD will ultimately let you down. I'm not against mask - wear one. I'm not against vaccines - take one. I'm against you telling me I must because I do not for a moment believe me wearing a mask or me taking a vaccine will protect one single human being. If I were, I'd do both.

Wade, do you feel a little battered after Ruth and Christiane have been ‘beating’ on you? :)

Hello WADE,

it is a matter of one's private conscience and in my faith a person's private conscience is between them and God . . .

so I have no authority to 'tell you' nor would I assume that authority, but the evidence is that for our country, where there has been so much resistance to taking even the simplest precautions, we are approaching a greater crisis where our healthcare workers will be likely overwhelmed and there may not be enough staff to go around even if emergency temporary facilities are set up to handle the covid. . . .

I propose some ideas from the Judeo-portion of Judeo-Christian tradition but also I am extremely knowledgeable about the devotion of the reformed Christian people who watch over Eastern Christian Childrens' Retreat in Wyckoff NJ,
so I was addressing their devotion to self-giving as a witness to their faith.

We see things 'differently', but I am grateful for the opportunity to share my point of view and I thank you for that privilege. I do not yet comprehend your position fully, but I am open to trying to do so, and in the meantime, please don't think I am disrespecting your stand as being one of conscience before God also.

The question is for me: what is possible for me to do that can help my vulnerable neighbor and how can I best honor that obligation in the sight of God.

It's a personal matter. We see from different perspectives. I realize that. There is a tremendous amount of disinformation out there and people are unknowingly influenced by it.
We are all doing the best we can to make some sense of where we must be in regards to caring for one another at this special time in our country. Good will come soon, hopefully.

Wade: We will have to “agree to disagree” on the mask mandates, but you did not respond to my final statements.

“Personal opinion about the lack of validity for mandates should never cause us to inadvertently endanger others in the case we are wrong. Heaven knows, I am wrong often enough to realize that I am not perfect – and neither is anyone else.”

I am assuming you are not claiming perfection.

The examples you list of the work your church does are exemplary, and I agree it is part of protecting the helpless. But it is not correct to say that requiring masks is equivalent to giving drugs or alcohol to an addict. We don’t know who will be impacted by this in all cases, such as my friend who died; he was not considered to be high risk at all. So this really can’t be equated to “enabling the healthy”.

I will not continue to beat a dead horse on this subject but I do hope that you at least consider what I and others have said. None of us know at this point in time who is right and who is wrong – but I prefer to err on the side of caution so I am not the cause of someone else’s suffering or death.

Thanks for the discussion.

It's not my personal opinion.

One of the most important books you'll read this year is linked below. The first author of the book, Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi, is a Thai-German microbiologist. His co-author, Dr. Karina Reiss, is a microbiologist as well. She studied biology at the University of Kiel where she received her Ph.D. in 2001, later becoming a professor of microbiology at the University of Kiel. Dr. Reiss has published over sixty articles in the fields of cell biology, biochemistry, inflammation, and infection, which have gained international recognition and received prestigious honors and awards. Drs. Bhadki and Reiss write:

"We are not aware of any single scientifically sound and undisputed article that would contradict the following:

1) There is no scientific evidence that symptom-free people without cough or fever spread the Corona disease.
2) Simple masks do not and cannot stop the Covid-19.
3) Masks do not and cannot protect from infection.
4) Non-medical face masks have a very low filter efficiency
5) Cotton surgical masks can be associated with a higher risk of penetration of microorganisms (penetration 97%). Moisture retention, reuse of cloth masks, and poor filtration may result in increased risk of infection"

Thanks for the reply, Wade.

The evidence of emf damage to plant, animal, and human is simply overwhelming and disheartening. Some have estimated that we are being exposed a billion times more than previous generations were just fifty years ago, yet very little government funded research is taking place for our protection.

Decades of studies prove our minds can be manipulated with emf’s. From 30 years ago (think of the technological progress made since then):

“In a ‘psychotronic war’ using microwaves modulated using ELF waves, it would no longer be necessary to kill whole armies by inducing cardiac or respiratory irregular signals. The enemy can simply be incapacitated by disturbing their states of balance or confusing the ability to think logically”

Wade: Actually, you are relying on your personal opinion that this particular scientist’s view is more credible than that of the majority of the scientific community.

My personal opinion is that the scientific majority’s view is more credible than any one particular scientist. This majority view comes about through collaboration and research validation over time.

And that is the crux of our disagreement on this. I firmly believe that most of the scientific community are very, very good people who have given their time and efforts to keep us as healthy as possible. They are to be honored, not denigrated as being puppets for a supposed “New World Order” movement. I shudder to think of the world we would inhabit had scientists not poured themselves into using their God-given talents for research and treatment of the various illnesses humans acquire.

I intend this to be my last word on this post. There is no good reason for further point by point elucidation of our differing stances. It is obvious that we will never agree. I am not leaving mad – I am just leaving :-)

Wade,
It was good to read the reasons that masks is not the answer by smart people. Below is an old story.

I was praying someone would help me
Many years ago, my brother, Hez, and his wife, Bev, were driving in the mountains of Colorado when they saw a dust cloud in the distance. They knew someone had driven off the road.
Several cars had stopped by the time they got there. Hez started down the mountain and met two men and a 15-year-old-boy coming up.
“The car’s on fire and about to explode!”
“Is anyone inside?”
“A woman, but ;she’s stuck, and we couldn’t reach her.”
“I’m going down.”
“I’ll go with you”, said the boy.
The car was on fire, upside down, and the roof was crushed; the lady was in a small ‘tunnel’.
Hez said to the lady, “Can you hear me?”
“Yes, I’ve been praying someone would help me!”
I’m going to hold on to your hair, and this boy will pull us out!”
They drug her behind a large rock and laid down a few minutes before the car exploded.
After a while, an ambulance crew came down and took the woman. They never heard the end of the story.

Can anyone add one day to their life? Please do tell me if you can. God is ONE, sovereign, the author and finisher. I don't believe it matters if you are pro mask or anti mask, pro vaccination or anti vaccination. Our science based era lives in an illusion that we have some control. I challenge that thought in love! Only His will and purposes are accomplished. And I know Him, He is the source of all love and goodness. But we have an obscured view of what is "good." Could it be there is mercy in wrath, in the bringing low, in suffering, even death, and we estimate our own opinions of what is good far too high?" Maybe not, I'm nobody, so if someone can show me by scripture and prompted by the Spirit otherwise, please do so. He is salvation and He is where my security lies. Glory be to Him alone!

“I have a PhD in virology and immunology. I'm a clinical lab scientist and have tested 1500 "supposed" positive Covid 19 samples collected here in S. California. When my lab team and I did the testing through Koch's postulates and observation under a SEM (scanning electron microscope), we found NO Covid in any of the 1500 samples. What we found was that all of the 1500 samples were mostly Influenza A and some were influenza B, but not a single case of Covid, and we did not use the B.S. PCR test. We then sent the remainder of the samples to Stanford, Cornell, and a few of the University of California labs and they found the same results as we did, NO COVID. They found influenza A and B. All of us then spoke to the CDC and asked for viable samples of COVID, which CDC said they could not provide as they did not have any samples.

We have now come to the firm conclusion through all our research and lab work, that the COVID 19 was imaginary and fictitious. The flu was called Covid and most of the 225,000 dead were dead through co-morbidities such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, emphysema etc. and they then got the flu which further weakened their immune system and they died. I have yet to find a single viable sample of Covid 19 to work with. We at the 7 universities that did the lab tests on these 1500 samples are now suing the CDC for Covid 19 fraud. the CDC has yet to send us a single viable, isolated and purifed sample of Covid 19. If they can't or won't send us a viable sample, I say there is no Covid 19, it is fictitious.

The four research papers that do describe the genomic extracts of the Covid 19 virus never were successful in isolating and purifying the samples. All the four papers written on Covid 19 only describe small bits of RNA which were only 37 to 40 base pairs long which is NOT A VIRUS. A viral genome is typically 30,000 to 40,000 base pairs. With as bad as Covid is supposed to be all over the place, how come no one in any lab world wide has ever isolated and purified this virus in its entirety? That's because they've never really found the virus, all they've ever found was small pieces of RNA which were never identified as the virus anyway. So what we're dealing with is just another flu strain like every year, COVID 19 does not exist and is fictitious. I believe China and the globalists orchestrated this COVID hoax (the flu disguised as a novel virus) to bring in global tyranny and a worldwide police totalitarian surveillance state, and this plot included massive election fraud to overthrow Trump”

I am not an anti vaxxer, but this vaccine, on a novel platform is being pushed out rapidly and so there may be some not yet realized downsides. In animal models for SARS CoV1 hypersensitivity reactions and antibody dependent enhancement of infection of immune cells was seen on challenge with infection by the virus. For both the Pfizer and Maderna vaccines, we know that there have been approximately 160 infections of which apparently 95% have occurred on the placebo arm. That is not many infections in vaccinated folks to see if there are any issues.

The public has an odd view of scientists. In general, scientists work in the corner of their own lab space. Data is shared in groups or departments, but there is not a wide sharing of data until it has matured to be published for the fear of being "scooped." Maderna did publish their preliminary toxicity on dose finding. Pfizer's data has not been peer reviewed and the approval would appear to be only peer reviewed through the FDA.

This pandemic has been the worst of science and medicine. Remember the retraction of papers from the Lancet and NEJM re: toxicity of hydroxychloroquine? A company made up a data base of supposedly 96,000 cases of COVID. The error was not realized until some docs reading the papers after publishing raised concerns. The company at the route of the fraud (Surgisphere) has apparently gone out of business. I can find no information about what happened to its founder who seemed to be a brilliant guy able to make up things on the fly. The Lancet and NEJM are certainly respected journals, but they were taken but I believe they were also playing into the politicization of the science.

This pandemic has been going on for 10 months. We see politicians doubling down on measures that haven't worked (so we are going to do it longer and harder). Testing is of unknown specificity and sensitivity despite the fact that we have been using it for 10 months.....History will not treat this period kindly. The "unintended consequences" are going to be vast and are only beginning to be appreciated. In the mean time, real people are suffering because of the mass hysteria. I believe this virus is real, but I also believe that as we have learned more, we have failed to use that knowledge and we keep doubling down. Cuomo's "we need to fear more" summed it all up -- but in reality, we need to fear less. Masking *may* help and so I do; however, masking will not solve this thing, stay in place will not solve this thing. We need to protect the vulnerable, recognize that there are no guarantees in life and keep living.

Sojourner,

You’ve told us there’s something wrong with C0VID-19 eleven times:
1. Nov. 20, 1:36 PM
2. Nov. 2:01 PM
3. Nov. 4:07 PM
4. Nov. 22 6:18 PM
5. Nov. 23 6:22 PM
6. Nov. 24 10:05 AM
7. Nov. 29 5:54 PM
8. Nov. 35 7:20
9. Dec. 1 9:49 AM
10. Dec. 3 2:28 PM
11. Dec. 3 7:07 PM

Now, on Dec. 6 at 6:33 AM, you really hit the nail on the head with the truth that is convincing to me. Thank you, thank you!

I know some will hate you; especially those that will lose money in failing to sell a vaccine.

P.S.
If you want to delete any of YOUR comments were you’ve double posted, there’s a symbol at the end of you’re comment that only YOU can see. The symbol looks like a small fire hydrant.

Thanks for the delete tip, Rex.

I quit posting anonymously back when Wade went to google account sign in only since we had deleted our gmail accounts earlier in the year (they have a huge role behind this convid-1984 psyop/social engineering/propaganda). But, not too long ago my wife reminded me we had an old account that never got deleted. Not sure why it presents me as Sojourner? Weird.

Heard on the radio a guy quoting a study that found people are twice as likely to fall for a scam if they have a college degree. They didnt learn about street smarts and smelling manipulation and fraud. Colleges and universities have been prepping for this exact moment in time for over a century.

I believe that even if Fauci himself announced covid-19 was not real most Americans would still believe it was real. That’s the power of psychological persuasion. Just like 9/11, etc..

Hello Sojourner,

thanks for the note

hey, nothing wrong with being a country 'hick'

some of our best Americans are country folk, one of my own ancestors was an 'Ancient Planter', named Thomas Gray

Sojourner,

I know we've never met nor do we know each other. Just FYI - Your "copy and paste" comment above about the Ph.D. virologist saying Covid-19 is a "hoax" made it on SNOPES official website. See the SNOPES link here. For those who wish not to follow the link, here is what SNOPES said about your comment:

"This text has been circulating online since at least Dec. 6, when an anonymous Blogger named “Sojourner” posted it in the comments section of an article published at Wadeburleson.org. At the time, the text was not attributed to Oswald or any other medical professional, and the post’s apparent author, Sojourner, noted in another comment that he/she was “not a professional,” was “merely a hillbilly,” and had simply copied and pasted the message."

I am leaving your comment stand - though I don't believe it - because I have faith in the American people to do research on their own and I trust their judgment. I have no problem with SNOPES calling you out for copying and pasting what they deem a "false" comment - and I happen to agree with SNOPES on this one - but I disagree with deleting, censoring, and forbidding comments. I believe in free speech, even in others' free speech that isn't true.

Can anyone reach Anonymous (or Sojourner) to ask him to disclose the Source of his "copy and paste " article - " I have a PhD in virology and immunology. I'm a clinical lab scientist and have tested 1500 supposed positive Covid 19 samples ........... " ?

The text has been multiplied at more than a dozen sites and created quite a stir concerning its seeming authenticity, which was discredited by fact-checking websites such as snopes and usatoday. The story is unbelievable because it said " We at the 7 universities ..... are now suing the CDC ......." while no other news is covering the event at all !!
