Kodi Lee and a Tribute to Truett Foster McKeehan

Christian artist TobyMac and his son, Truett Foster McKeehan

On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, 21-year-old Truett Foster McKeehan, son of Christian music artist TobyMac, died suddenly and unexpectedly in his parents' home. Medics responded to a cardiac arrest call to the McKeehan home, but they could not review Truett.

TobyMac and his wife have a faith in Christ that is not be shattered by unexpected suffering. Their official statement about the death of their son is filled with tributes to God's grace and goodness, not to mention His sovereignty and control over all things.

At Liberty University's convocation the day after Truett died, university officials asked guest artist Kodi Lee, this year's winner of America's Got Talent, to listen to an unfinished song written by Truett.

Kodi listened to Truett's song, completed it, and then sang it to thousands of college students, merging the song with "I Can Only Imagine" by MercyMe.

Well done, Liberty University.

Watch Kodi Lee's and LU's tribute to the Truett and the TobyMac family.

Thanks for posting this. Minor correction, Kodi won America's Got Talent, not American Idol.

CHRISTINE,

Your link announcing Al Mohler being nominated for President of the SBC turns my stomach. Ugg

He and Paige Patterson wrote to the IMB demanding that women should not have any position over men.

CHRISTIANE,

Your link was written by Dwight Mckissic who said Al Mohler was running the clock backwards by him saying women such as Beth Moore should not preach to a coed audience.

Wouldn’t it be great if Beth Moore was elected President of the SBC?

If defeated by a woman, would he feel as this guy did?

“…Draw your sword and kill me! Don’t let it be said that a woman killed Abimelech!” (Judges 9:54 NLT)

Hello out there, REX RAY

yes, I thought it might be bad news and maybe Mohler would 'retro' the SBC back to Pattersonian days of misogyny, God forbid, although I don't think it will ever get that bad again, hopefully

Patterson pushed misogyny as far as he could, until people couldn't stand it anymore.

What did Rachel Moore ever do that so many hold her in contempt? What a shame that is.

Excuse me, 'Beth Moore'
(was thinking Rachel Held Evans)

Turning the clock back, couldn’t have happen on a better day than this Sunday.

“Can you bring a tank of air to inflate a flat tire?”
“Be there in 20 minutes.”

The call was from a ‘Yellow dog Democrat’ lady that campaigned with our Father when Democrats were Republicans. (Will skip that history)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_dog_Democrat

A young lady I’d never met, had a flat tire on her truck with no spare, was visiting the ‘Democrat’. The tire looked good with 20 PSI, but it was leaking fast. It made it to our house two miles away. I went to Walmart and got ‘Fix-a-flat’. Tire had some kind of air-vale that made it useless.

The lady was on her way to visit her boyfriend that was in prison three miles from here. I told her I’d get her tire fixed in town Monday, and until then we’d swap trucks. She was very grateful, and we were on time for Sunday School.

Wade, thank you so very much for posting this amazing service. It was truly an amazing worship experience for me as I watched and listened and prayed for that dear family. Thank God for the eternal hope we have in Jesus Christ that was exhibited so authentically by those in the video that know this family intimately. Will continue to pray for them and for so many close to them that are suffering through this loss.

On top of the 7,800 Aasgard Pass, 60 year-0ld Robert Colbern told his son and others that he would slow them down, so he would start down ahead of them. A helicopter located him around the 7,300-foot elevation.

His family came to my wife Belle’s funeral seven years ago.

We will all meet again someday. Glory!

REX RAY,
I'm sorry about the loss of your friend. Yes, you will see him again.
May you and his family be comforted. May the Lord be with you.

End of story of me “swapping trucks” with a lady was NOT good.

When my truck did not return as agreed, I talked to the Democrat that had called me. She said her son, Jason, was driving it with the lady. (He’s a known ‘druggie’.) Jason’s mother called him many times but he didn’t answer. She gave me his cellphone number. I texted him several times that I’d call the police if he didn’t bring the truck back.

He finally brought it back, but the gas gauge was not near as full as the smell of marijuana. (I was thankful he’d not had a wreck because he was not on my insurance.) Her truck tire was fixed, but her truck didn’t have an inspection sticker or license plates.

I realized I’d not followed my father’s advice; “It’s OK to be soft-hearted, but don’t be soft headed.”
