Just Exactly What Is the Good News in Your Mind?

Jeffrey Epstein
Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide last week.

Jeffrey Epstein, the owner of a $44 million Upper Eastside mansion, a private island, an ocean yacht, a party jet, and access to the worlds' rich and elite is dead.

It seems Jeffrey Epstein's previous convictions for his federal crimes of sexual abuse against young girls and his impending trials for newly revealed sexual abuse activities caused Jeffrey Epstein to take his life.

Jeffrey tried to kill himself two weeks ago and didn't succeed.

Under strange circumstances that seem to indicate powerful people at the federal level wished him success in a second attempt, Jeffrey committed suicide last week.

Jeffrey Epstein is dead.

His thought process at the end seems clear. "If my life isn't worth living, then my life is worth taking."

At one time,  Jeffrey Epstein most likely thought his life was good. Others might have even considered Epstein's life very good.

In the end, Jeffrey knew his life wasn't worth living and that he would be a tragic stub on Wikipedia.

That's why Jeffery Epstein took his life.

Good News

All of us need some good news to have a life worth living.

Without something good in our lives, we lose hope. All of us.

The problem becomes defining "good."

The word Gospel comes from an Old English compound word - "God" (the Old English word for "good") and "Spell" (the Old English word for "news").

The Gospel is the only real and lasting Good News.

In Celebrate Recovery, Alcoholics Annonymous, and other recovery groups where people gather to turn their lives around, one of the main principles is to surrender to a Higher Power.

Or, to put it simply:
"To believe that God exists, that I matter to God, and that God has the power to help me recover."
God is the basis for our Good News.

When you surrender to your Creator:
1. God will give you a higher purpose, a reason to live outside of your own pleasures.
2. God will give you a healthy passion, taking the desire for destructive behaviors out.
3. God will give you a holy promise, that He will give you a life worth living now and for all time, showing you mercy, grace, forgiveness, love, and acceptance which you pass on to others.
The way to prevent future Jeffrey Epsteins from preying on victims is to give them the Gospel.

The only problem is that people who own $44 million Upper Eastside mansions, private islands, ocean yachts, party jets, and access to the worlds' rich and elite never think their lives are not good.

Until they aren't.

We should never take pleasure in the death of the wicked.

It's just another human being who dies without receiving the Good News.

Wade,

I’m glad you gave Wikipedia. It’s like Paul Harvey’s “The rest of the story”. Which states:

Jeffrey Edward Epstein (January 20, 1953 – August 10, 2019) was an American financier and convicted sex offender.[1][2] Epstein began his career in finance at the investment bank Bear Stearns, before forming his own firm, J. Epstein & Co., until his conviction for sex crimes in 2008, for running an underage prostitution ring for well-connected financial, political, and cultural elites.[3]
In 2005, the Palm Beach, Florida, police began investigating Epstein after a parent complained that he molested her 14-year-old daughter. Epstein eventually pleaded guilty and was convicted in a Florida state court in 2008 of soliciting a prostitute and of procuring an under-18 girl for prostitution. He served 13 months in custody with work release, as part of a plea deal, where federal officials had identified 36 girls as young as 14 years old who had been molested.[4][5] Epstein had additionally faced allegations from numerous individuals of holding women as sex slaves, including individuals who were underage.[6]
Epstein was arrested again on July 6, 2019, on federal charges for sex trafficking of minors in Florida and New York.[7][8] He died on August 10, 2019, REPORTEDLY AFTER HANING HIMSELF in his Manhattan prison cell.[9][10] Three weeks previously, Epstein had been found unconscious in his jail cell with injuries to his neck and was placed on suicide watch, which lasted six days, and ended twelve days before he died.[11] An autopsy was performed on August 11; the New York City medical examiner's office announced that it needed more information before the cause of death could be determined, though it is presumed to be suicide.[1

“reportedly after hanging himself” would have been the report on my brother if a medic had not yelled, “He’s dying, you’ve got to turn him loose!” (police had him in a ‘restraining device for three hours that limited his breathing; also tore ligaments in his knees so bad he couldn’t work for three months.
You may wonder what law he had broken. He was charge for loitering at a newspaper office. He had an appointment with the owner of the newspaper to complain about pornography in the newspaper. But the guy that put the pornography in the newspaper told him to leave or he would call the police.

there is some conjecture about the circumstances of Epstein's death

a lot of very important, very wealthy people stand to benefit from his not having a trial

I'm keeping an open mind because the circumstances surrounding the death are so bizarre for such a high-profile person

it IS a terrible tragedy anyway we look at it, and the victims need to find justice

if there are collaborators who participated in the abuse of the under-age girls, then they need to be brought to justice, no matter how important, or famous, or wealthy . . . it's just the right thing to do;
and if not, it sends a message that privilege is above the law, and that is not what this country is all about, no

CHRISTIANE,

Yes, your comment is more logical than me implying angry police hung him. I’ve changed my opinion from “angry police” to evil police doing the will of powerful people. About like Hitler’s concentration camps where murderers said, “I was following orders.”

As Wade said, “Under strange circumstances…powerful people at the federal level wished him success in…suicide…”

They were smart in not killing him the first time as this put him on “suicide watch” which painted the picture of him wanting to kill himself.

Very slim chance he suicided given the paticulars of his situtation. Gov's ability/credibility for truth telling has pretty much diminished to the point that to believe the opposite, most times, will take one much closer to the truth. They are under the spell of the prince of the power of the air - it's diabolical as can be.

"Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but they are not entitled to their own facts." Senator Dan Moynihan quote

Rex - ever put much time in researching whether the moon landing really happened? I did about 6 months ago and could not agree with what I was taught happened. They laughed at this scientist back in the 60's who said it was nothing but plasma and impossible to land on, but the public with their digital zoom lenses seem to be proving him right.

Wade,

Judy always watches the TV show “Outnumbered” where there are four women and a ‘guest’ who is a man. They’re a mixture of Democrats and Republicans. They usually discuss politics.

But today they were united in being upset over the death of Jeffrey Epstein. They showed a video of William Barr Attorney General of the U.S. saying he was outraged over Epstein’s death in a maximum security prison, and there would be a full investigation by the FBI.

They pointed out Epstein was placed in a cell alone where it is standard to have a cellmate, and he was checked every three hours instead of every thirty minutes as required.

It could be a duplication of Bengasi where the guards were responsible for our ambassador being killed due to neglect of Hillary Clinton. Now her husband was more inclined to be involved in sex as President has tweeted:

https://www.scmp.com/news/world/united-states-canada/article/3022306/donald-trump-spreads-bill-clinton-conspiracy-theory

Maybe the “39 body bags of Clintons” has moved up to 40.

Does anyone think Epstein killed himself?

Christiane said...

I'm not sure, REX RAY. These are strange times. If he had gone to trial, a LOT of famous names would have been exposed, among these were powerful people, politicians, extremely wealthy people. It would have been in someone's interest to take him out before the trial could commence.

So here you finally have a REAL possible 'conspiracy theory' and although the circumstances are horrific and dark, it has all the markings of something that 'doesn't smell right' and I'm not seeing much confidence in Barr's 'I'm appalled' or in his shuffling off of responsibility onto his lesser minions, no.

I'd like to see people focus on trying to get justice for the victims. This was an internationally-organized sex trafficking ring and the powerful clients do NOT want to be exposed. We would be surprised at some of their names, no doubt.

Those girls' lives were affected by all of these co-conspirators and 'clients' and I hope sincerely that the full truth will come out and that justice will be done, because we NEED that in our country now that so much has happened to our nation that now government has a policy of cruelty to small children who are made to suffer weep and to the disabled who are deported, sent away to die alone without help in a strange land. Our beloved nation has grown morally sick from its enforced cruelty to the innocent. some thoughts . . .

Rex Ray said...

CHRISTIANE,

Old Friend, you said, “So here you finally have a REAL possible 'conspiracy theory'.”

HEY! For every clue, fact, or information that proves Epstein was murdered, I can give ten that a certain Vice-president became President of the United States by having people murder his boss.

I just couldn’t resist. :)

Rex Ray said...

CHRISTIANE,

I think I’ll reduce my ten reasons because information is poring in on Epstein being murdered.

Cal Thomas on his 35th year as a syndicated columnist, hit the jackpot today in the newspaper:

Epstein was a registered sex offender. President Trump tried to link Epstein’s death to Bill Clinton on Twitter, mostly because so many people associated with the Clintons have died, some under curious circumstances. Court documents released names that visited Epstein’s “fantasy island”, allegedly stocked with underage girls. Epstein named his Boeing 727 airplane the “Lolita Express” (Lolita means a ‘sexually precocious young girl’) that took people to his island. It was reported the plane had a bed where passengers had group sex with young girls. It’s flight logs shows Bill Clinton flew to the island 26 times.

I believe all that came near Epstein in prison should take a lie detector test. It wouldn’t surprise me if some have left the country.

everette said...

The real scandal with Epstein's death is not that a rich white child molester committed suicide in jail.

No, the real scandal is that suicide rates in American jails are at an all-time high. Unfortunately, the victims of jail suicide are usually poor and disproportionately of color, so our society at large doesn't care about them.

I'm not trying to detract from Wade's main point about Epstein's eternal fate--which is a very good point--but if the American church--to say nothing of the media, politicians, etc.--devoted a tiny fraction as much attention to the ordinary plight of the poor and downtrodden in this country as they do to the extraordinary case of a billionaire gone bad, we would have have a much more just and, dare I say, Christian nation.

Rex Ray said...

Everette,

Why are you saying Epstein’s death was suicide, when the facts point to murder? Are you trying to get on Wade’s good side by agreeing with his post? Ask him why he hasn’t made any comments to back up his claim of suicide?

Here are some more facts as reported by Cal Thomas August 13 Newspaper:

1.No information has come out how Epstein hung himself.
2.What method did he use?
3.Was their a chair in the cell and if so, why?
4.Was there something on the ceiling that a sheet or rope could go over?

Tomas interviewed a prison Chaplin and received how possible suicide prisoners were treated.

They are given medicine to keep them calm.
Epstein being checked every three hours was ridiculous because they should be checked every few minutes.
As a chaplain he was not allowed to give them a Bible with a hard cover or even a rosary.

Everette,

Oh, I know now; it just came to me. Bill Clinton paid you. 😊 :)

Rex, I'm not big on conspiracy theories. The simple fact is that jail suicides are on the rise, and it is extremely likely that Epstein--a man who was used to having his way with ordinary people (pun intend) was severely depressed by having to be ordered around by every Tom, Dick, and Harry correctional agent. It is also likely that he was starting to realize that this would be his fate for the rest of his life.

Add to this that 1/3 of all inmate suicides occur within the first week of incarceration, and the suicide story makes perfect sense to me.

But even if the real story involves the ghost of JFK, the ghost of Lee Harvey Oswald, the CIA, the Communists, Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, and the Easter Bunny, it doesn't change my point about the plight of the poor.

The more important fact is that jail suicides are on the rise. Very few Americans cared about this fact until Epstein entered the headlines. I only hope that the church uses this incident to awaken people to the horror that is the modern American prison system.

Wade,

The whole country (Fox News, Hannity, etc.) is spectating about the death of Jeffrey Epstein. One thing for sure; dead men don’t talk.

So far, the warden of the prison has been fired, and the FBI hasn’t released any information they may have found.

If there had been a trial, many people that enlisted and managed these young girls would be going to prison.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey_Epstein
This link states:

“Epstein pleaded guilty and was convicted by a Florida state court of soliciting a prostitute and of procuring an underage girl for prostitution on June 30, 2008.[5] He served almost 13 months in custody, with work release.

"Rex, I'm not big on conspiracy theories"

Everette - neither am I, but when the official narratives are totally made false by the facts (fertilizer bombs in a box truck parked on the sreet don't cause that type of building damage, airplane fuel can't cause hot enough fires to melt steel and drop skyscrapers perfectly like pancakes, yada yada yada), then it is no longer a theory, but a conspiracy fact. Propaganda is an enormous tool of GOV to control people. I think you should know that.

As to jail suicides on the rise - I'm glad you care, but the root of the problem is America makes up about 5% of the world's population, but incarcerates about 25% of the world's prisoners. Most people are in jail for victimless crimes.

Ken,
You said, “airplane fuel can't cause hot enough fires to melt steel and drop skyscrapers perfectly like pancakes, yada yada yada)”

I built a haybarn from thick four inch oil well pipe. Each vertical pipe was made stronger by heavy angle iron with a zig-sag pattern of more metal that held the two together. The barn was 44 feet wide and 88 feet long with walls 23 feet high. The roof was made with tin. It was full of hay when it burned. After it burned, the pipe that held the walls up remained straight, but on the end the corner pipe held up more weight since it supported a gable. The corner that the wind blew toward sagged and bent. The heat from hay is not near the heat from jet fuel.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanging
This link describes three types of hanging.
1. Hanging is a common method for suicide. Full suspension is not required, and for this reason, hanging is especially commonplace among suicidal prisoners. This type of hanging may be obtained by self-strangulation using something around the neck and the partial weight of the body to prevent breathing. They will have their feet touching the floor.
2. The short drop is a method of hanging performed by placing the prisoner on something, then removing it, leaving the person dangling from the rope. This typically takes between ten and twenty minutes.
3. The standard drop involves a drop of between 4 and 6 feet. It was considered a humane improvement on the short drop because it was intended to be enough to break the person's neck, causing immediate unconsciousness and rapid brain death.

If Jeffery Epstein wanted to die, he would have chosen the first type of hanging, but his neck was broken. A bedsheet was around his neck and tied to an upper bunk. That could have broken his neck if he was two feet tall. I believe his neck was broken and then the bedsheet.
Epstein was convicted of soliciting a prostitute and procuring an underage girl for prostitution in 2008. He served 13 months without killing himself.

Two guards have been put on administrative leave for removing the film in the hall mounters that would have shown who went into Epstein’s cell. Who had the authority to have his roommate removed the day he arrived?

One doctor who was experienced in autopsies said other parts of his body should have been examined besides his broken neck. If he had hurled himself head first from the top bunk with a sheet around his neck, his knees would have been injured.
Also, his lawyers were shocked because two days before when they talked with him, he was in a joyful and optimistic mood.

So far, the warden has been fired and two guards are in trouble.

The conclusion of the autopsy report was suicide! We need a second opinion that gives reasons. I believe the coverup smells to high heaven.

Good catch on my unqualified statement, Rex.

We had a shed/barn fire and a machine burnt leaving the aluminum valve covers melted. The galvinized tin roof was also very distorted. So, yes, gasoline/diesel/hydraulic fluid ignited fires can melt and distort metals to some degree or another.

It's been several years since I did exhaustive research, but what I should have said is that the GOV's official narrative was that temps didn't exceed something like 1200 degrees F in the fire in either twin tower, which isn't even close to the temps it takes to melt those particular steel beams to cause total pancaking collapse from top to bottom.

Yah, we don't know for sure what happened to Jeff. He may have been the one to lower the flag at half staff on his own island after his "suicide".

Frankly I'm not that interested in finding out the truth on guys like him as much as I am looking into other things like flat or round earth theories. Not sure which one I am at this point in my life, but am enjoying looking in to it, and not taking for granted that what I was taught is true. Would be much easier if God just told us. :)

Hard to explain a lot of these facts with the global earth theory.
