A Personalized Bible Is a Great Gift for Loved Ones

Wade's study Bible from PersonalizedBibles.com
For regular readers of my blog, you know I've lamented often over the dearth of Biblical knowledge in the United States. Americans used to be able to speak the same language, full of references from the Scriptures. Every citizen of the United States had at least a general knowledge of what the Bible teaches.

No more.

When the #1 song in America is the obscene, profane, and sexually explicit song called WAP, the Bible is the last thing Americans, especially millennials, have read or want to read.

That's why I have a suggestion for you.

Send to those that you love a personalized Bible from PersonalizedBibles.com.

When the Word of God arrives with your loved one's name embossed on the front cover, it's like the LORD is calling your loved one to read His Word.

I received my study Bible yesterday. I teach and read from the New American Standard Bible, but PersonalizedBibles.com has all the major translations and all the colors and bindings (leather, soft, hardback, etc.) you'd find in a major Christian bookstore.

Ordering is fast, easy, and efficient. Open an account at PersonalizedBibles.com and start sending gifts that have eternal meaning!

Wade,

Great Idea. I want to give my three children the NLT translation.

I love this writing in the NLT, from chapter 1 of the Holy Gospel of St. Luke:

"Mary Visits Elizabeth

39A few days later Mary hurried to the hill country of Judea, to the town 40where Zechariah lived. She entered the house and greeted Elizabeth. 41At the sound of Mary’s greeting, Elizabeth’s child leaped within her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

42 Elizabeth gave a glad cry and exclaimed to Mary, “God has blessed you above all women, and your child is blessed. 43 Why am I so honored, that the mother of My Lord should visit me? 44When I heard your greeting, the baby in my womb jumped for joy. 45You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what He said.”

The Magnificat: Mary’s Song of Praise

46Mary responded,

“Oh, how my soul praises the Lord.

47How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!

48For He took notice of His lowly servant girl,

and from now on all generations will call me blessed.

49For the Mighty One is holy,

and He has done great things for me.

50 He shows mercy from generation to generation

to all who fear Him.

51 His mighty arm has done tremendous things!

He has scattered the proud and haughty ones.

52 He has brought down princes from their thrones

and exalted the humble.

53 He has filled the hungry with good things

and sent the rich away with empty hands.

54 He has helped His servant Israel

and remembered to be merciful.

55 For He made this promise to our ancestors,

to Abraham and his children forever.”

Wade,

I know this is off topic, but I believe it’s important for people to know before the election is over.

Pence said in the debate with Harris:

“I couldn't be more proud to serve as vice president to a President who stands on a policy for the sanctity of human life. I'm pro-life. I don't apologize for it. And this is another one of those cases where there's such a dramatic contrast. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris support taxpayer funding of abortion, all the way up to the moment of birth, late-term abortion. They want to increase funding to Planned Parenthood of America.

When you speak about the Supreme Court, I think the American people really deserve an answer, Senator Harris. Are you and Joe Biden gonna pack the court?

There have been 29 vacancies on the Supreme Court during presidential election years, from George Washington to Barack Obama. Presidents have nominated in all 29 cases. But your party is actually openly advocating adding seats to the Supreme Court, which has had nine seats for 150 years.

This is a classic case of if you can't win by the rules, you're going to change the rules. Now you've refused to answer that question, Joe Biden has refused to answer the question. I think the American people would really like to know. If Judge Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed to the Supreme Court of the United States, are you and Joe Biden, if somehow you win this election, going to pack the Supreme Court to get your way?”

In the Trump-Biden debate, when Biden was asked by Trump if he was going to pack the Supreme Court if he became President, Biden said, “I’ll answer that question after I’m elected.”

I believe America wants to know NOW.

“Fracking has turned Pennsylvania into the nation’s second-largest producer of natural gas, making energy a jobs issue that could hinder Joe Biden’s path to the White House—with the choice of fracking-foe Kamala Harris as running mate adding yet another potential hurdle.

Biden has been pushing the bounds of what Pennsylvania voters may accept. He supports a partial ban on fracking—only on federal lands—and has said he would put the weight of the federal government behind a push away from fossil fuels.

Now, he is adding a partner to the ticket, Ms. Harris, who goes further, fully supporting the progressive Green New Deal and a ban on fracking everywhere."

Nice lack of respect and professionalism in your response. Great job of exhibiting God's love. Surely you can see that getting paid under the table for blog posts would be a problem - that's the "heckheckdifference" it makes to me.
