Open Letter of Concern from 120 Retired Generals

Flag Officers 4 America
NOTE: The letter signed by the generals begins in the next paragraph with quotations (") and ends with quotations (") right before their signatures. Whether you agree or disagree with their position, you must respect their service to our country. I am making no comment. The letter stands on its own.
________________________________________

"Our Nation is in deep peril. We are in a fight for our survival as a Constitutional Republic like no other time since our founding in 1776. The conflict is between supporters of Socialism and Marxism vs. supporters of Constitutional freedom and liberty.

During the 2020 election an “Open Letter from Senior Military Leaders” was signed by 317 retired Generals and Admirals and, it said the 2020 election could be the most important election since our country was founded. “With the Democrat Party welcoming Socialists and Marxists, our historic way of life is at stake.” Unfortunately, that statement’s truth was quickly revealed, beginning with the election process itself.

Without fair and honest elections that accurately reflect the “will of the people” our Constitutional Republic is lost. Election integrity demands ensuring there is one legal vote cast and counted per citizen. Legal votes are identified by State Legislature’s approved controls using government IDs, verified signatures, etc. Today, many are calling such commonsense controls “racist” in an attempt to avoid having fair and honest elections. Using racial terms to suppress proof of eligibility is itself a tyrannical intimidation tactic. Additionally, the “Rule of Law” must be enforced in our election processes to ensure integrity. The FBI and Supreme Court must act swiftly when election irregularities are surfaced and not ignore them as was done in 2020. Finally, H.R.1 & S.1, (if passed), would destroy election fairness and allow Democrats to forever remain in power violating our Constitution and ending our Representative Republic.

Aside from the election, the Current Administration has launched a full-blown assault on our Constitutional rights in a dictatorial manner, bypassing the Congress, with more than 50 Executive Orders quickly signed, many reversing the previous Administration’s effective policies and regulations. Moreover, population control actions such as excessive lockdowns, school and business closures, and most alarming, censorship of written and verbal expression are all direct assaults on our fundamental Rights. We must support and hold accountable politicians who will act to counter Socialism, Marxism and Progressivism, support our Constitutional Republic, and insist on fiscally responsible governing while focusing on all Americans, especially the middle class, not special interest or extremist groups which are used to divide us into warring factions.

Additional National Security Issues and Actions:

• Open borders jeopardize national security by increasing human trafficking, drug cartels, terrorists entry, health/CV19 dangers, and humanitarian crises. Illegals are flooding our Country bringing high economic costs, crime, lowering wages, and illegal voting in some states. We must reestablish border controls and continue building the wall while supporting our dedicated border control personnel. Sovereign nations must have controlled borders.

• China is the greatest external threat to America. Establishing cooperative relations with the Chinese Communist Party emboldens them to continue progress toward world domination, militarily, economically, politically and technologically. We must impose more sanctions and restrictions to impede their world domination goal and protect America’s interests.

• The free flow of information is critical to the security of our Republic, as illustrated by freedom of speech and the press being in the 1st Amendment of our Constitution. Censoring speech and expression, distorting speech, spreading disinformation by government officials, private entities, and the media is a method to suppress the free flow of information, a tyrannical technique used in closed societies. We must counter this on all fronts beginning with removing Section 230 protection from big tech

 • Re-engaging in the flawed Iran Nuclear Deal would result in Iran acquiring nuclear weapons along with the means to deliver them, thereby upsetting Mideast peace initiatives and aiding a terrorist nation whose slogans and goals include “death to America” and “death to Israel” . We must resist the new China/Iran agreement and not support the Iran Nuclear Deal. In addition, continue with the Mideast peace initiatives, the “Abraham Accords,” and support for Israel.

 • Stopping the Keystone Pipeline eliminates our recently established energy independence and causes us to be energy dependent on nations not friendly to us, while eliminating valuable US jobs. We must open the Keystone Pipeline and regain our energy independence for national security and economic reasons.

• Using the U.S. military as political pawns with thousands of troops deployed around the U.S. Capitol Building, patrolling fences guarding against a non-existent threat, along with forcing Politically Correct policies like the divisive critical race theory into the military at the expense of the War Fighting Mission, seriously degrades readiness to fight and win our Nation’s wars, creating a major national security issue. We must support our Military and Vets; focus on war fighting, eliminate the corrosive infusion of Political Correctness into our military which damages morale and war fighting cohesion.

• The “Rule of Law” is fundamental to our Republic and security. Anarchy as seen in certain cities cannot be tolerated. We must support our law enforcement personnel and insist that DAs, our courts, and the DOJ enforce the law equally, fairly, and consistently toward all.

• The mental and physical condition of the Commander in Chief cannot be ignored. He must be able to quickly make accurate national security decisions involving life and limb anywhere, day or night. Recent Democrat leadership’s inquiries about nuclear code procedures sends a dangerous national security signal to nuclear armed adversaries, raising the question about who is in charge. We must always have an unquestionable chain of command.

Under a Democrat Congress and the Current Administration, our Country has taken a hard left turn toward Socialism and a Marxist form of tyrannical government which must be countered now by electing congressional and presidential candidates who will always act to defend our Constitutional Republic. The survival of our Nation and its cherished freedoms, liberty, and historic values are at stake

We urge all citizens to get involved now at the local, state and/or national level to elect political representatives who will act to Save America, our Constitutional Republic, and hold those currently in office accountable. The “will of the people” must be heard and followed."

Wade, was this your source of information?

RB Kuter said...

Wade, please excuse my foggy brain, but where does this "Open Letter" from the Generals begin in the context of your post? I could not discern between the introduction to the Letter and its actual beginning.

Thanks.

RB Kuter,

The letter begins immediately. No context given.

Christiane,

"Our Nation is in deep peril."

Indeed - this letter is a fine example of veiled violent rhetoric supporting baseless conspiracy theories and misinformation. This has no place in our "historic way of life".

DHS October 2020 assessment: Ideologically motivated lone offenders and small groups will pose the greatest terrorist threat to the Homeland, with Domestic Violent Extremists presenting the most persistent and lethal threat;

DHS nailed it.

thanks
Paul

Wade,

YIPPEE; mental telepathy finally paid off. I’ve been wanting you to have a Post on the condition of our country. 😊

And you really hit the nail on the head!

Scott Shaver said...

Wade is lobbing what Tony Campolo used to describe as "cultural hot potatoes" out there to chum the water and let the chips fall.

Kudos. I admire both the courage and integrity.

Paul D:
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😜

Scott Shaver said...

Paul D:

"Veiled violent rhetoric". Are you serious?

Where where you when the Federal Building in Wade's home town was bombed by domestic terrorists?

We certainly know where Wade Burleson was.

Where where you?

Paul D said...

@Scott Shaver

it's possible that you are not referring to the Murrah building. But that is what I take it that you are referring to.

first, that wasn't in Wade's hometown.
second, I was there. Hefner and Ann Arbor - heard it with own ears and worried about my father who worked downtown.

thanks
Paul

Paul D said...

@Scott Shaver

However, in no way do I detract from Wade's support of the bombing victims. He was certainly way more involved than I was.

thanks
Paul

Paul D said...

@Scott Shaver

finally, yes - I am serious.

thanks

Scott Shaver said...

Close enough for darts and handgrenades there comrade Paul D. When it comes to the brass tack of "truth".

Scott Shaver said...

Well, Paul, in that case, all I can think is it must be the cumulative effect and evidence of American public ed tax dollars et al over the past 30 years.

Like Wade writes: "This nation is in DEEP peril". I would add From the clergy to the courtroom to the classroom.

Paul D said...

@Scott Shaver

yes, I agree - the nation is in deep peril, and the greatest threat (among many) is domestic terrorism. Left, right, fascist, marxist, etc. I have no problem denouncing any and all extremist rhetoric.

I went to Emmanuel Christian School through elementary and Oklahoma Bible Academy for middle school. I did go to public high school in OKC and college in Stillwater - where I got an ag degree and don't recall having any serious challenges to my conservative roots.

Like I've said before, I changed my mind when I rode my bike through a conservative rally in Tulsa in 2020. So, I guess you can blame my opinions on that if you want.

thanks
Paul

Scott Shaver said...

Paul: What I might like to know, respectfully, is where were you in the aftermath?

Scott Shaver said...

Paul:

Does no good to "blame" your opinions. Does MUCH good IMO to vehemently oppose and challenge some of your publicly stated opinions. No hate involved. And certainly no emotion.

I try to remain stoic with most of the generic socialist tripe.

Scott Shaver said...

Paul D:

If you think that "riding your bike through a conservative rally" turned you socialist is supposed to either impress or inspire me...

Get ready for rhetorically violent disappointment.😜

Rex Ray said...

Wade,

I noticed all the Generals are retired. Does that keep them from being demoted by our Commander and Chief?

Rex Ray said...

Wonder if Biden every has ‘nightmares’ of a ‘coup’ taking place? 😊

Paul D said...

@Scott Shaver

first, because I reject a certain brand of conservatism does not mean I am a socialist. But thanks for making that false dichotomy so clear.

As for OKC and domestic terrorism. Sure, I have no problem acknowledging that Wade and many others are not endorsing violence. I stand by my original comment but understand that others have their reasoned beliefs that such "open letters" are not connected to violence or domestic terrorism.

@Rex Ray

yeah, what a nightmare. Can you imagine a bunch of nuts storming the Capitol?

thanks
Paul

Rex Ray said...

Scott Shaver,

I agree with you about nuts storming the Capitol if you’re referring to the nuts as Proud Boys, Three Percenters, and Oath Keepers.

Scott Shaver said...

Not because you reject a "certain brand of conservatism" Paul D, but rather because regardless of your political persuasion, you publicly echo socialist talking points IMO.

Rex: Nuts on both the right and left we have with us always.

Scott Shaver said...

I didn't ask you to "acknowledge Wade" Paul D.

My attempt was to wake you up to the idea of best consider who one is talking to prior to leveling innuendos of promoting domestic terrorism.

Paul D said...

@Scott Shaver

understood. I have no doubt Wade could put me in my place if he so desired. I took a certain amount of liberty in the fact that Wade did not write this letter. But, I will say that overall I don't understand how a person so much smarter and with more experience than I could make such a grave mistake.

As for "respect their service to our country"...I mean, the record is pretty clear on that account regarding who the top brass and security advisors endorsed and why. Not to mention the former President's own words regarding McCain and many others. Either that or you build a tower of theories to get around it.

thanks
Paul

Scott Shaver said...

I agree with our former President's retorts and rebuttals toward John McCain.

Where does that put us? You have opinions on Trump, McCain had opinions (public) about Trump and Trumo stated his opinions on McCain, with which I agreed.

Let's talk "effectiveness" of Trump vs McCain over last 15 years.

Scott Shaver said...

Additionally Paul, the new breed of "military brass" is raising a lot of eyebrows around the country right now.

See why.

RB Kuter said...

Scott wrote: "DHS October 2020 assessment: Ideologically motivated lone offenders and small groups will pose the greatest terrorist threat to the Homeland, with Domestic Violent Extremists presenting the most persistent and lethal threat;

Thus said the frog sitting in the pot of water on the low-burning burner on the stove.

RB Kuter said...

Just watched video of the Cartels transporting tons of drugs into the US as border agents struggle to deal with the thousands of illegals pouring across the border. The Cartels use the constant, heavy flow of illegals as distraction to run their drug trains in unattended turns in the river. Just about all of the illegals cross with either babies and young children or are in late term pregnancy to assure they have babies born on US soil.

Scott would probably say, "DHS says it's Russian attempt to influence elections that is our biggest threat."

RB Kuter said...

Does anyone else have the feeling that everyone in the White House has gone on permanent vacation now that they're in office?

Maybe that's a good thing considering the destructive measures they take when they "do" enact any policy.

RB Kuter said...

17 Governors now say they will not allow the communist regime to give free money to residents in their states for not working. Seems like someone outside of Washington still has some sense.

Scott Shaver said...

Sorry RB.

Scott did not write anything about DHS.

Scott Shaver said...

RB: The Cartels are making more money off human trafficking at the border right now than througj the flow of illegal drugs. Heard a Border patrol captain saying that on the news this morning.

Ironic that the party which promotes BLM and CRT also promotes human slavery and trafficking.

Hello dear people,

I most sincerely hope that sources like the Epoch Times are NOT directly drawing material from sources like this organization:
https://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index3565.htm

there may be similarities and some overlay, but I also found it difficult to trace back the 'source' of the actual letter that was offered and I came to a group called
"Flag Officers 4 America" but haven't gone further yet to find who in fact authored the actual letter. Tracking down 'sources' is very important these days as we do have incoming 'information'(?) from foreign entities that are NOT friendly to our American way of life.

My advice is for people to be conscious of where 'info' is coming FROM and also to take responsibility to make sure that information from those foreign entities who target our nation and try to manipulate our people into turning on one another, that these foreign entities are not inadvertently 'helped' by how we handle material when there is vague sourcing involved.

That link I gave that mentions 'what does it mean' is a known conspiracy theory source that connects also to foreign entities including Russia,
so you can all understand my worries for those who might not be aware of such 'sources'. Find ways to trace back to original sources so that you can protect yourselves from misinformation, manipulation, and those intent on dividing our nation for their own ends. Beware of any sources coming from those who want the destruction of our alliances and our membership in NATO.
May the Good Lord keep you all safe from harm as you venture into some of the 'edges' of the conspiracy theory world. "There be DRAGONS", dear people. And they are not 'friends' to our nation, no. God Bless!

RB Kuter said...

Scott, so very sorry to put you with that comment. Please accept my apologies.
Apparently, should have been associated with "Paul" as being the source.

RB Kuter said...

This from the "CNN/MSNBC" junkie? Is this meant to be comical?

Scott Shaver said...

😜no problem RB.

Scott Shaver said...

Christianne:

At this point I fear "sources" are the least of your concerns.

Scott Shaver said...

Christianne:

Ever consider the fact that conspiracies often DO happen?

Christiane said...

Mr. Kuter, I can assure you that it is most kindly meant.

When people you care about take conspiracy theory sources as responsible sources of information, there is some honest cause for concern, yes. If I did not give a heads-up, it would be against my nature . . .

Concerning lapses of critical thinking, I'm more conscious of what can happen now because, after this incident (see site below), I thought the worst and I was wrong:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_United_States_Air_Force_nuclear_weapons_incident

Ask REX RAY, he may remember why I know personally that people can fall into conspiracy theory thinking. My own family who were military assured me that the incident was 'not possible' as an 'accident', so that stirred the pot in my own head. We are all vulnerable to conspiracy thinking and it can lead to some strange conclusions and worse to the some terrible incidents as in the Jan 6th insurrection. So, I wish I could make a joke but I can't, and my worry for people is a REAL concern that makes me speak up with words of caution going forward, yes. No one wants to be a useful food for some foreign puppet master, no. No one wants to see people they care about in that same circumstance, God forbid. I've answered honestly, Mr. Kuter. I only hope it helps some people.

Christiane said...

"useful FOOL" sorry for error :)

RB Kuter said...

""There be DRAGONS", dear people. And they are not 'friends' to our nation, no. God Bless!"

THIS is true, as mentioned in Wade's post.

RB Kuter said...

Another "conspiracy" theory of we right-wingers (?):

"Colonial Pipeline pays $5 million ransom to Darkside hackers to have their oil released."

Well, actually, since we're dealing with "$trillions" these days, think of all of those hackers, oil-nappers, etc. we could pay to release those held in hostage!

This is a new development in the very sick situation in which we find ourselves.

But I was encouraged by our President's addressing what his government is doing to make all things good. When asked by a reporter as he was trying to escape from the news conference, "Did you hear about the ransom payment to the hackers? Did you know about the ransom payment?"

President, "No comment." and then he did quickly shuffle outta' there!

Not the most stellar moment in US history.

Maybe we should have offered Hitler a ransom payment!

Do you think we could offer ransom payment to the Cartels to stop the flow of millions of illegals into our country??

Nah...not even the US government can get enough out of the taxpayers to pay THAT much ransom! But perhaps we could PRINT that much???

Scott Shaver said...

RB:

The road of appeasement did not work out well for Neville Chamberlain.

Christiane said...

I am for people having the freedom to examine all sources of information and to form their own opinions. I am not someone who seeks the repression of difference and dissent or of the closing down of the market place of ideas, no.

But where I place a warning light is that among the multitude of information/opinion sources extant, you will find that there are those that are far more in the realm of indoctrinating than in educating; there are some that have 'hidden' agendas that will attempt to manipulate people by exaggerating paranoid conspiracy theories and by attempting to create an atmosphere of fearfulness.

So it is good to know how to check out 'sources' of 'information' and to take responsibility for avoiding becoming 'useful fools' for those who take advantage of people who wander into the fringes lest they become unknowing contributors to the demise of that which they would never knowingly betray. Our nation IS targeted by some foreign entities who seek to 'influence' in ways that many would not recognize as 'interference'. Be especially careful around any media sources that seek to spread division and fear among Americans.

Christiane said...

A little wisdom for the times:

Beware of those leaders who want everyone in their group to be in lock-step with one another. It can be a real disaster when there is no freedom allowed to think for yourselves.

The reason? This:

"One secret of life is that the reason life works at all
is that not everyone in your tribe is nuts on the same day."
(Ann Lamott)

CHRISTIANE,

Your link is about a ‘live’ atomic bomb being flown in America which caused: “…General T. Moseley were asked for their resignations.”

Glad he received ‘retirement pay’ because he was our neighbor’s son.

Old story: Our father made his assistant leave his foxhole and eat breakfast. While eating, a German shell blew the assistant’s Bible to pieces that was under his pillow.

Did you see the fight between a woman and a man because she cut in line of cars waiting to get gas and scraped his car? WOW! The guy was big, but that lady was tough.

The price of gas is going up; thanks to you know who.

RB Kuter said...

The humiliating thing is that the hackers only demanded $5 million! What's up with that? With the trillions we throw away you would think they would at least respect us enough to ask for a $Billion or so!

This tells me that the hackers were probably a couple of senior high students in Des Moines that surprised themselves that they got into Colonial Pipeline and then when they were told their demands would be met they looked at each other and said, "WOW, DUDE!! How much should we ask for?? $100,000??"

"Mr. President! Did you know the ransom was going to be paid?"

"No comment. Where's the bathroom?"

Why are we being attacked? Because we are weak. Why do thousands travel north from the lower Americas and the Middle East into our borders? Because we are weak. Why is China now emboldened to pursue dominance in the Pacific and the world and have the greatest Navy in the world? Because we are weak. Why are thousands of rockets raining down on Israel from Hamas? Because we are weak.

Nobody takes this "Bozo" Administration/Government seriously. Would you?

Christiane,

The EPOCH Times was founded by members of the FULON GONG religion (a cross between Buddhism/Taoism) and the largest monotheistic religion in China.

About 20 years ago, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) believed FULON GONG to be the biggest threat to their power in China.

For the past 20 years, hundreds of thousands of FULON GONG adherents have been kidnapped, imprisoned, tortured, and killed. Their organs are harvested and given to faithful Communists. According to Chinese government officials, FULON GONG, Christianity, Islam, and other monotheistic religions are "anti-science, anti-materialistic, anti-atheist" and the CCP represents "science, materialism, and atheism." It is amazing how much our nation's government leaders now sound like CCP leaders. The only thing missing in the United States (compared to China) is the forcible arrest of those who disagree with government leaders, but that may be coming soon.

The EPOCH TIMES was established to call out the totalitarianism and communism of CCP China. It may SOUND "right-wing," but compared to COMMUNISM, everything is "right-wing."

The letter is real.

The problems are real.

God is on His throne.

The American people better trust Him before our nation is crushed.

RB Kuter said...

As of April 30, 157,277 adverse advents had occurred following COVID-19 vaccinations, including 4,000 deaths (death occurring one to two days following vaccination. (CDC's VAERS)

From Christiane's favorite news commentator, Tucker Carlson;
"In just the first four months of this year, the U.S. government has recorded more deaths after COVID vaccinations than from all other vaccines administered in the United States between mid-1997 and the end of 2013."

("Carlson's comparisons of recent deaths following COVID-19 vaccines with the cumulative deaths that occurred over a period of 15-1/2 years from all other vaccines combined-all based on the government's VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Events Reports) data-also noted that 160 million Americans get the flu shot every year, yet relatively few coincidentally die afterward:203 deaths in 2019, 119 in 2018, and 85 deaths in 2017.")

Lissa Roberson said...

Howdy Rex Ray,

Wade can surely address this since some of his friends and church members are assigned at Vance AFB, and some of them are in the senior officer ranks. Nonetheless, I'll happily add my two cents to your question of retired generals that make political statements.

While on active duty, military service members do not make any public statements that are critical of our "boss", our Commander in Chief -- the President. That would do nothing but cause division, discord, and drama...distracting us from our sworn mission of protecting our country against the enemy. A distracted military is a weakened military.

Once we become civilians, we're free to speak our opinion. Even so, we still feel the responsibility of our prior commitment against speaking ill of our leaders, so we are judicious with our public comments.

If a large group of flag officers (meaning, generals) comes forward and shares grave concern for the future of our nation, their message carries weight. They wouldn't speak publicly like that unless they felt that our republic is at an existential crossroads. These retired generals will not lose their retirement, nor will they face prosecution for speaking out. Criticism, perhaps. Admiration by fellow veterans -- you betcha.

In classic Rex Ray fashion, I'll close with a story. I scanned the list of signatories, curious to see if I might happen to recognize a name or two. Lo and behold, I spotted a familiar person, Brigadier General (Ret.) Norman Ham, a KC-135 pilot from my squadron in Okinawa.

I was a first lieutenant flying as a navigator when my aircraft commander returned to the States and our crew got assigned a new pilot. This guy was new to the seat, having “flown a desk” for a year in the Stan/Eval flight examination branch. That position was prestigious for any copilot, but as a new aircraft commander lacking humility, he was loathe to have his authority challenged even by way of a gentle caution or critique in flight.

We did our best to keep our comments to ourselves, but there came a mission when he made one too many errors. At the end of that sortie, he “pranged” our airplane hard and left on a wet runway, and instead of correcting to the right, he corrected further left, nearly taking us off the runway altogether. That was it. After debrief, the boom operator and I marched to our Ops Officer’s desk and threatened to turn in our wings if we were scheduled to fly another mission with that pilot.

Enter Captain Norman “Norm” Ham. Seemingly overnight, our crew lineup got shuffled, and Norm showed up the next morning to lead our mission planning. We were rescued! I spent the remainder of my tour with an aircraft commander that both knew his plane and knew how to restore faith to a traumatized aircrew.

I felt great admiration when I saw that not only did Norm make it all the way to the rank of Brigadier General, but he continues in retirement to serve our country, by following current events and sharing a voice of concern borne of experience.

Liked Christiane's comment: "A little wisdom for the times:
Beware of those leaders who want everyone in their group to be in lock-step with one another. It can be a real disaster when there is no freedom allowed to think for yourselves."

Amazed to see you coming over the right-wing crowd, Christiane! Welcome!

Stu and Lissa Roberson,

Incredible story. Thank you for sharing.

RB Kuter,

I believe Christiane means exactly what she's written: "Beware of those leaders who want everyone in their group to be in lock-step with one another. It can be a real disaster when there is no freedom allowed to think for yourselves."

She has much in common with you and me.

It certainly rang the right bell with me.

A confession. So kind are the comments above that I hate to confess the truth, which is when I wrote this:

" "Beware of those leaders who want everyone in their group to be in lock-step with one another. "

I had in mind a recent event where a certain political party replaced a spokeswoman who would not 'fall in line' with the crowd. It IS a shame that a proper roll-call vote was not taken because it would have assigned responsibility to those who took away her leadership position and replaced her with, well, no comment other than someone who 'plays ball'.

So I am still in the dog house, but I meant what I wrote, and that is what I want for people . . . to have their OWN opinions, their OWN voices. And not to be manipulated OR pressured to conform against their own principles or moral conscience.

I worry a lot about good people being lied to by those who would manipulate them, especially those from countries that are NOT our allies. We are all vulnerable to manipulation unless we are on guard to do our OWN thinking and track sources down for ourselves. It's hard work, but we are better off seeking out who is hiding behind the curtain and what they have for their agendas. Stay vigilant, good people.

Christianne "meant" what she wrote.

And Republican leadership meant what they said when they tossed Cheney along with her lies out of that committee chair.

So in the end. It matters not wbat you wrote OR what you meant.

Scott Shaver said...

Christianne:

Its really not "hard work" at all to counter your delusions.

Scott Shaver said...

Technically speaking Christianne: It wasn't "the crowd" at all that the RINO Cheney refused to fall in line with, it was a subset of repsentatives duly elected by American citizens who represent the REAL "crowd" and the REAL Constitution.

Passive aggressive socialists who come clamoring for creedal christs and click-bait sources are the easiest to expose and frustrate.

Scott Shaver said...

P.S.

Like Christianne: I meant what I wrote ;)

RB Kuter said...

Christiane, I knew what you meant. My comment,"Amazed to see you coming over the right-wing crowd, Christiane! Welcome!", was intended to be facetious with a sprinkle of attempted humor.

Not sure, but I think Wade thought your comment might have seriously been meant to apply to the "left's" side as well as to the "right's". I "think" Wade might have thought that you were suggesting that the "left" side was walking in "lock-step" with one another! I knew THAT couldn't be the case. Pigs don't have wings yet!

I don't think I would want you to come over to the side of the "right" ("political right", not as in the "correct" side). Not that you wouldn't be welcomed, but it would diminish the intrigue and spicy aspect of our debates.

Back when I used to watch Fox News, I loved watching the talk program, "The Five". Juan Williams was the "one" presence among the "five" participants who was always voicing in favor of the "left" side. He was kind of like the conservative lady in the group on "The View" TV program.

All of the others ganged up on Juan. Of course, I never agreed with Juan, but I always appreciated his perseverance and tenacity. His proposals for why the "left" took positions they do was usually laughable, but it was "right on" as to how the "left" was processing things in their heads.

At least it was good to hear from someone on the "other" side that presented the argument from the position of those holding to their ideology. Most often, we conservatives can't believe that "the left" actually are as loony as they appear to be to us!

Same with Christiane. Sorry for the grief I most often give you, but it is not intended to be "mean" and your continued propositions, although usually not rational, do help us to understand that the "left" side really does think that way.

I used to come to this blog for the wisdom of a Christian leader who, in the past, has stood for truth. Of late, that wisdom has dissipated, now to the point of publishing a scurrilous letter. Hiding behind the words "Whether you agree or disagree with their position, you must respect their service to our country. I am making no comment." is a comment that confirms this blog has lost its way. Sadly, so much of the US has lost its way too - the fruit of a 4-year presidency, supported by Christians, that culminated in a shameful insurrection. The 20th C belonged to the US. The 21st won't - and don't blame Chine for that. Look inwards. - David K

Dave K:
If America "loses its way", I fear it will be more because of "fruits" like you and Christianne than those of a Trump presidency.

Scott Shaver said...

Dave's idea of "insurrection" is a group of obvious over-reachers, probably taught they were doing the right thing via liberal socialist tolerance grids in our public schools who were let in initially by the capital keystone cops, one of which yet unnamed, shot in the head the only casualty who was an unarmed young white woman.

Wonder what guys like Rex Ray and some a little older than me think about the utter softness and hypersensitivities of this generation.

Let's play a game Ruth.

Discern from the substance of my comments whether I am or not and we can compare notes when you think sufficient data has been gathered.

Lissa Roberson,

I've had no trouble recognizing you as one RB.

Lissa Roberson, I sure appreciate and agree with your comments on what is appropriate behavior for active military personnel in contrast to those non-active. I mentioned this to Wade quoting you on the post subsequent to this regarding an officer disciplined for being out of line on his comments. Unfortunately, Wade's server or another technical glitch resulted in it being deleted.

Anyway, thanks for providing very credible comments and for your service to our beloved nation.

Hello Mr. Kuter,

Please feel free to 'be yourself with your own voice' when you comment to me as that is something I believe in. I don't take things personally, no. But I thought I should 'confess' because I thought I had mis-led some people and needed to correct that because mis-leading folks is NOT something I believe in.

So you can relax and be yourself and not to worry for me as I live in the real world where it has become more and more difficult for all of us to communicate 'with our own voices'.

I think one reason I value Wade highly is because I believe he understands that people have the NEED to express themselves even though sometimes what they have to say comes out 'tangled', misunderstood. That Wade allows people to TRY to communicate is a kindness that is very, very rare in the blogging world.

Scott Shaver said...

No Christianne.

You do not "believe in that".

My requests to you for follow up information and explanation of substance go 100% unanswered on this blog.

Practice what you preach would be my advice.

Scott Shaver said...

Thank you Christianne:

Now kindly compare the "journalistic" twist of the article's substance with regard to mean bully Trump with the actual track record of kind, compassionate and cognitively challenged Joe just a little over a hundred days in. Especially when it comes to the subject of "facism".

To be honest, I don't think your issues with American politicians (Trump in particular) have anything religiously or spiritually relevant. I tend to think at the heart it's an issue of your insistence on a certain leadership style.

And that's the kind of thinking that can get US ALL killed. Both figuratively and literally.
