Bread and Wine Will Do Just Fine: The Lord's Supper and the Reality of the New Covenant

Participating in the Lord's Supper is something that you have done since coming to faith in Jesus Christ. If you are like the average Christian, you have never questioned why you eat "an unleavened wafer" of bread while celebrating Christ giving His body for you on the cross.

The night before Christ died on the cross He at supper with His disciples.

. n centuries past, the debate over which type of bread Christ Lord's Supper caused great division. Eventually, the Greek Orthodox Church in the east, used leavened bread, and the Roman Catholic Church in the west used unleavened bread.
